LED screen pitch, often referred to as pixel pitch, is the distance in millimetres between the LED 'pixels' on an LED display, and it plays a critical role in determining image clarity and optimal viewing distance. A smaller pitch (such as P1.5 or P2) means the pixels are packed more closely together, resulting in higher resolution and sharper visuals, making it ideal for close viewing environments like retail stores or boardrooms. Conversely, a larger pitch (such as P6 or P10) has more space between pixels, which is better suited for outdoor or long distance viewing where ultra fine detail isn't as noticeable. Essentially, the pitch directly impacts how detailed an image appears at different distances — what looks crisp up close on a fine pitch screen may appear pixelated on a larger pitch, while a coarse pitch screen can still look perfectly clear when viewed from further away. Understanding this relationship helps ensure the right LED solution is chosen for both the environment and the audience.
